COATINGS WITH NANO-METRIC FILMS (PVD)

Applications in Nanotechnology

Inteliform is the first mechanical production company from West of Romania conducting coatings with nano-metric films of material surfaces.

In 2010, following a research program, we have developed a coating equipment with nano-layers PVD deposition.

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a surface coating technique in vacuum conditions and involves transfer of material at the atomic level. This type of coating greatly improves oxidation and wear resistance and increases efficiency in use through enhanced performance and a greater lifespan for the covered components.

The advantages of nano-metric film coatings

  • Safety, efficiency and high performance in use
  • Increased corrosion resistance in comparison with galvanizing technique
  • High resistance to impact, abrasion and high temperatures
  • A wide variety of organic and especially inorganic materials can be used to obtain nano-layers
  • Non-invasive method; environmental effects are noticeably reduced compared to other coating techniques (galvanizing, painting)
  • Reduce maintenance costs for the covered components

The PVD technique applications

Coatings with nano-metric films are successfully used in areas such as:

  • High precision machining
  • Manufacturing of various types of molds, cutting tools or spare parts for process equipment
  • Automotive industry
  • Aviation industry
  • Medical Engineering
  • Military industry
  • Optical Engineering

The PVD method significantly increases the efficiency and profitability of processes through:

  • prolonged lifespan of parts, components and tools covered
  • reduced equipment maintenance costs
  • increased overall quality of the finished products developed by our industrial partners
